Privacy Policy

Unfollowers Tracker for IG (“the extension”) is built to be private by default. It runs entirely inside your own browser, collects no personal data, and stores everything on your device. This policy explains exactly what it does — and doesn’t do — with your information.

Data we collect

None. The extension does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share any personal data. There are no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no application servers that store your information.

What the extension does

Using your existing logged-in Instagram session, the extension reads your own following and followers lists to show which accounts don’t follow you back, and saves periodic snapshots so it can show who unfollowed (or newly followed) you between scans. It is read-only — it never follows, unfollows, likes, posts, or modifies your account in any way.

Where your data lives

All data — your follower/following snapshots, the change history, and your settings — is stored only in your browser’s local storage, under the instagram.com origin. It stays on your device. The extension provides controls to export this data as a JSON or CSV file you choose to save, and to clear it at any time.

Network requests

The extension makes only two kinds of network request:

• To www.instagram.com, using your own logged-in session, to read your own follower and following lists.
• For Pro only: your license key is sent to our payment provider, Polar, to verify your purchase. No other data is sent, and this happens only when validating Pro.

Pro purchases

Pro is an optional one-time purchase processed by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record. Payment details (such as your card information) are handled entirely by Polar and its payment processors — they are never seen or stored by the extension or by us. The only thing the extension exchanges with Polar is your license key, used to confirm that Pro is active.

Permissions

The extension requests host access to www.instagram.com — required so it can read your own lists from within the Instagram page using your existing session. It requests no other permissions.

Children’s privacy

The extension is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them (or from anyone).

This extension is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. “Instagram” is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
